How to Download a CSV Export

  1. Open your Project: Navigate to the specific project containing the estimate you wish to export.

  2. Access the Estimate: Click on the Estimate tab located in the left-hand navigation menu.

  3. Open Options: In the top right corner of the Estimate interface, click the Options button.

  4. Download CSV: Select Download CSV from the list of available actions. Your browser will automatically begin downloading the file to your local device.

Troubleshooting

  • Pop-up Blocker: If the download does not start, check if your browser's pop-up blocker is preventing the file from opening.

  • Incomplete Data: If the CSV appears empty, ensure that you have actual line items saved in your estimate draft or version before exporting.

FAQs

Can I import this file back into KonstructIQ? Yes! Once the data is downloaded as a CSV, it is formatted in KonstructIQ's default formatting. As long as you keep the headings the same, if you decide to make changes to the CSV and import it as a CSV to another project, you can do that.

Does exporting as a CSV lock the estimate? No. Exporting a CSV is a read-only action and does not affect your ability to continue editing the estimate within the platform.

Does the export include hidden internal margins? The CSV export typically includes all visible columns in your estimate view, such as Qty, Unit Cost, and Margin, providing a comprehensive data set for your spreadsheet.
