How to Summarize the Estimate

  1. Open your project dashboard and click Edit Estimate.

  2. Navigate to the project details by clicking the Info tab.

  3. You can make changes to the Summary Scope of Work on this page by typing in the text box.

  4. You can also use AI to make it more Compact or more Detailed. Then, click Summarize.

  • Changes Not Saving: If the summary does not update, ensure you have a stable internet connection and refresh the page. Your user role must have "Edit" permissions for the Estimate module to commit these changes.

  • Missing 'Summarize' Button: If the button is greyed out, verify that you have entered text in the description field first; the system cannot summarize an empty field.

FAQs

  • Will summarizing delete my original detailed notes? No. The summary tool creates a condensed version for the overview display, but your full technical descriptions remain accessible within the project's internal logs.

  • Does this change historical estimates or only current ones? This action only affects the specific estimate you are currently editing. It will not retroactively change previously finalized or archived estimates.

  • Can I revert the "Compact" view? Yes. You can toggle between the expanded and compact views at any time by returning to the Info tab and selecting the display preference.
