Customizing Contact Information on Estimates

Learn how to control which contact details appear on your outgoing estimates. You can choose to display your General Business Information or the Individual Sender's Details.

Updated over a month ago

By default, estimates show your company’s primary contact info. However, if you have multiple team members or sales reps, you may want the estimate to reflect the specific person handling the account. This setting allows you to toggle that preference globally.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Access Client View Settings Log in to your dashboard and navigate to the Settings menu. From there, select the Client View tab. This section controls everything your customers see on their end.

2. Select Contact Info Preference Locate the section labeled Contact Info Settings. You will see two primary options:

  • Business Info: Displays the company name, main office line, and general email.

  • Sender Info: Displays the name, direct phone number, and email of the specific user who created or sent the estimate.

3. Save Changes Once you make your selection, the system will automatically update. All future estimates sent to clients will reflect the chosen contact details.

Tip: If you are a solo entrepreneur, keeping this on "Business Info" is usually best for brand consistency. For larger teams, "Sender Info" adds a personal touch and ensures replies go to the right person.

Troubleshooting & FAQs

  • Will this change my invoices? Typically, these settings apply to the "Client Portal" view, which may include both estimates and invoices depending on your specific software version.

  • What if a user doesn't have a phone number in their profile? If "Sender Info" is selected but the user profile is incomplete, the system will often fall back to the default Business Info to avoid blank spaces.

  • Can I change this at the project level? The user has the option to adjust the Sent by settings at the project level when they click preview and sen. They will also have the option to choose Sender Info there.
