What is the Roles feature?
The Roles feature allows you to share role-relevant information with people in your organization throughout your KonstructIQ account. The Account Owner can set how much access a user has by giving them permissions best suited for them.
How many Roles are available and what are the differences?
There are 4 total roles:
Project View
Project Admin
Financial Admin
and Full Access.
Project View:
This allows a user to view the selected projects with access to Budget, Estimate, Change Orders, and Bills. They will not be able to make any changes or additions to the data
Project Admin:
This allows a user to view the selected projects with access to Budget, Estimate, Change Orders, and Bills. They will be able to make changes and additions to the data.
Financial Admin:
This allows a user to pay bills, create invoices, and receive / Record payments
Full Access:
The user will have the ability to view all projects, update the Estimate, Change Orders, Bills, and invoices, as well as pay for bills and receive payments. This user will also have the ability to give project access to staff accounts.
Enabling Roles:
You can create accounts for users inside of your organization by going hovering over People and Selecting Staff. You can create a new user by selecting Create on the top right. Fill out the First Name, Last Name, and Email Address. Phone Number and Address are optional.
Decide which of the roles is best for this user by putting a checkmark in the Enable Section. There will automatically be a checkmark enabled for every role above the selected role, as the user will have access to all permissions for the roles above it in the selection table.
Select which projects the user should have access to or you can choose “Grant Access to All Projects”
When ready for user to have access to the project, you can invite the user by choosing which user should have access and selecting Invite User on the top right.
Editing Staff:
You can edit staff by hovering over People and Selecting Staff. Choose the user you would like to edit.
You can update the Role for the user by enabling the role in the table.
Grant access to more or less projects by using checkmarks next to the available projects
If the user needs to have their KonstructIQ access removed, click the dropdown for status and select Inactive.
